How have I not seen this sooner!? As someone who uses yarn to crochet, I am head over heals for this newfound “yarn bombing” by artist Suzanne Tidwell. She doesn’t crochet this yarn onto trees but knits them instead with, what I assume to be, the patience of job. What a fun and colorful way to make the outdoors even brighter!
Suzanne is a fiber artist who sees a long ball of yarn and knows exactly what she wants to do with it. She is an up and coming artist and loves creating LARGE instillations. Her art work is vibrant, colorful, soft, and full of texture. She is a native of Seattle and has had several instillations around that area but I really wish I could attend her next event at Paws Up Resort in Montana. This resort is a place where you can go “glamping” (glamorous camping), and Suzanne will be holding a workshop there August 6th-10th. I love Montana and I love yarn…so the two combined is heaven!
This makes me want to yarn bomb the big oak tree out in my front yard! Wouldn’t that be a strange thing to come across driving down the street? What do you think yarn bombing?
